The new flower bed has been prepared and the plants layed out but nothing more I can do until it stops raining so I can get out there
before it was dug out
but it should look nice when
it does get planted up.
The roses have been purchased too
But it's too wet to venture
out to show the names of
what we have chosen.
We have also
purchased two new rhubarbs
and these we
did manage to plant
first thing Sunday
before the rain returned.
A bit of sewing
My first attempt at a fabric bowl.
May be a few more if this weather continues.
Oh nearly forgot
Fred the frog in residence
The garden is coming along nicely. The rain is surely needed. Fred obviously loves it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fred is making himself at home for sure...all the plants nearby remain slug and snail free I am sure because of him.
DeleteComing along great guns Maria.x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lou, have ground to halt outside as never stops raining here for long!!!
DeleteGotta love Fred the frog! Having a good old time in his very own frog pond. The garden is looking lovely.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute and seems very happy when I find him in there.
DeleteHow wonderful to have Fred! We always had tadpoles and frogs in our pond...love to watch and listen to them.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping we encourage more but not sure if they are territorial?
DeleteYou are certainly making a great job of the garden. Love the fabric bowl, a real delight.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I think I will make some more bowls , they take a bit of hand sewing but I always enjoy that anyway
DeleteLooking good, I have a resident Ted the toad x
ReplyDeleteI love toads and frogs...no slugs or snails on the border....no damage to any plants so I think he is enjoying the free grub and his little pond too.
DeleteYour garden is coming along magnificently. Love your stitched little bag, too.
ReplyDeletexxx
Thank you Kim... I am never bored!!!!
DeleteYour garden looks so lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.xx
DeleteYour new bed is really starting to take shape. But how infuriating that you can't get out there to plant out. Rain has stopped garden play here too in Essex.
ReplyDeleteFrustrated I can't get out there, only has a few reasonable hours on Wednesday and I was at WI..typical!!
DeleteHello Fred, how brilliant to have such a guest. Gardens looking good, maybe you'll have some sunshine tomorrow xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, only rain all week, never mind the existing border is growing loadsxxx
DeleteHi Maria it looks lovely. Its been peeing it down here non stop too. I am hopeful that today is going to be a drier day than the past couple. You have been busy with the crafting. They look really good - and at least you are getting to play. Pattypan xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Tricia..always love to play....lots of stay indoors weather here this week.
DeleteI'm thinking that Fred the frog is the only one enjoying this soggy weather we are having at the moment. Its so annoying when you want to get on with the garden and its so wet - I'm sure its going to look wonderful when planted up.
ReplyDeleteAngela - Garden Tea Cakes and Me
You are so right Angela, the plus is the plants I did get to plants are enjoying all this rain.
DeleteGreat sewing work :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ingrid, Nice sewing something different every now and then.
DeleteLike your Fred the frog in residence. He looks happy having the "pond" to himself.
ReplyDeleteThank you, he is making himself very much at home, I even got a big croak from his yesterday and I get to stroke his back too!!! I think he knows I like him.
DeletePretty sewing work and your garden is progressing well.
ReplyDeleteI love your artwork and follow you pots this very minute!
